“Saints or nothing”: the legacy our founding father left us

The month of December in Canção Nova is full of celebrations! We remember the main dates in the life of Father Jonas Abib, our founder father.

Father Jonas always reminded us that "it is more beautiful to fulfill God's dreams."

On this December 8th, we celebrate with gratitude and tenderness the "yes" of our founder father to his priestly vocation — a "yes" that allowed God's dreams to become reality in Canção Nova.

May the witness of Fr. Jonas Abib continue to be inspiration and strength for us to walk firmly in God's will, in full communion with Christ.
Saints or Nothing!

Still on December 12th, we completed 3 years since Father Jonas's passing. 3 years of longing but of confidence in his rest in the arms of the Father of Mercies. His birthday would be a few days later, on December 21st.

Father Jonas: a man who lived to proclaim Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit! The special moments of his life in December speak of the Advent season in his life! Waiting for the Lord who comes! Maranatha!
